Been a long few days

Well, after a couple days of driving, we are finally in Nevada. Admittedly, there is less work getting done than even I thought. I am always so focused that I just assumed I would be even on vacation. My best friend and my partner were both making fun of me because I saw my bit of free time as an opportunity to keep learning full-stack with Javascript.

I have been able to relax though. Obviously, I could not work in the car. But last night after we got back to our rooms, I was able to get a couple of hours in. I’m putting in an image carousel for the about page of GCET/JP to break up the text monotony.

That definitely looks like it is going to be the pattern for the week. I’ll be able to get a couple hours in at night when we get back to the room. Although, Thursday, we rented a poolside cabana type thing. And I don’t drink, and can’t really swim, and don’t want to be that close to people, so that may be an opportunity for some work.

However, this is the first break I have had in a long time, and my first vacation with my best friend, partner, and pseudo-family after 16 years. So, I’m inclined to not worry about it. I’m putting in my work. The break is necessary, and great so far.
